At the end of June, Ronald Chisum signed up with Marcair as a new flight instructor. Read here as Ronald describes his training and how his journey led him to Marcair:
“I started my aviation career in the US Army as a Blackhawk Crew Chief. I decided that I was not happy riding in the back of the aircraft, after 12 years of service, so I enrolled in the Mesa Pilot Development Program in Farmington, NM, to be an airline pilot. I then moved to Amarillo, TX, in 2002 and continued my training with Coyote Flight Center where I earned my Instrument through CFI certificates. I worked as a part-time instructor from 2007 to 2009, when I decided to work in aviation full time and moved to Billings, MT, to work for Rocky Mountain College. I earned my CFII and MEI while working in Montana. I enjoyed working as a flight instructor so much that I wanted to have a diverse working experience so I moved to the DFW area in order to accomplish that task. Marcair has given me the opportunity to give back to the students and pilots of this community as a flight instructor.”

Also at the end of June, Marcair welcomed Joseph Kalberer to its instructor team. Joe is a veteran airline pilot and is looking forward to impart his skills, knowledge, and experience on his students.
“I started flying in high school and continued through college building time and earning ratings. My first jobs were towing sailplanes and banners. I also instructed and ran a corporate flight department. I have spent the last thirty-one years flying for the airlines: Horizon Air in Seattle and American Airlines in Fort Worth. My objective is to help other pilots achieve their goals in aviation.”
